RYA Powerboat Level 2 - 2025  

This two-day entry level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence (ICC.)

The course focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, launching & recovery and many other key aspects to safe powerboat operation. The course takes place on our inland reservoir, but covers theoretically all of the coastal aspects of the course.

After the course you should be a self-sufficient powerboater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of craft. Candidates aged 16-18 will be issued with an endorsed certificate.

Cancellation policy:

We reserve the right to retain your payment in full or in part, in the case of non-attendance or in the event of a cancellation with less than 14 days-notice. Activities can be affected by severe weather conditions. If Phoenix Canoe Club or Outdoor Centre has to cancel your session due to the weather conditions or for any other reason, we will offer you a full refund or reschedule your booking.
