Can I restrict the payment methods for a particular event or subscription?

No, you can't restrict the payment methods for a particular event or subscription.  If you make a payment method available to members, then they can use that payment method to pay for any items.

The reason we don't allow the restricting of payment methods is a practical one.  Members can, and frequently do, purchase multiple items within a single order.  To require them at checkout to make 2 separate payments for a single order, would we think be very confusing for many members.  The other alternatives, (e.g. preventing them from adding certain items to their basket once they have added a restricted item) would be equally/more confusing.

If you want members to use a particular payment method when purchasing a particular event ticket or subscription, then we suggest that you put a prominent message (e.g. in red and bold) to that effect in the description for that event or subscription.
