WebCollect treats everyone who is linked to your organisation as a member. That will include:
- lapsed members
- people who have applied to join your organisation
- people who have started down the process of joining your organisation, but dropped out somewhere along the checkout process
- people who have purchased tickets for an event with your organisation
- parents who aren't members in their own right, but are in the system in a group with their child (junior member)

Why include people who don't have a subscription?
Even if they aren't paid up members, you will still want to be able to look up their information, see what orders they have placed etc. So it works better to list them all together. If you want to just see the list of paid up members, you can find this by starting on the subscriptions list page, filtering by current subscriptions, and then click on Show members for these subscriptions.
Why call them all members?
You are right, maybe it's not the best word to use. But we thought that "people associated with your organisation" was a bit of a mouthful, and we couldn't come up with a better word... If you have any suggestions, please let us know.
