Selecting the group you want to email or SMS
Are you likely to want to send to this group again?
Before you start, if you are likely to want to send to this group more than once, you might want to create a list. Click here for details on how to create the list. Then once you have chosen your set of members (see below), you can add them to the list to save it.
Sending to All members
From the administration panel, click on the "members" link in the Membership Summary section top left, to go the members' list page.
Scroll down to the list of members. click on Choose Action: Email/SMS dropdown. Click on Create new draft. The pop-up "Are you sure?" message will tell you how many members you have selected. Click ok to go to the email screen.
If you have already written the draft of the
email, click on Add to
draft.
Warning! This will send to every person
associated with your organisation. If you
have non-members who have booked on events etc, and you actually
only want to email your current members, see below.
Selecting a group of members (e.g. based on information in their membership form)
On the members' list page, use the filters to select a
group of members.
See here for information on how to use the filters.
Click on the Filter button above the list of
members to update the list.
You can also manually select individual members from the list by ticking the box to the far left of their entry. Before you start, change the number per page to show all members on the same page.
Scroll down to the list of members. click on Choose Action: Email/SMS dropdown. Click on Create new draft. The pop-up "Are you sure?" message will tell you how many members you have selected. Click ok to go to the email screen.
If you have already written the draft of the email,
click on Add to draft.
All Current Members
On the members' list page, scroll down to the section Filter by Subscriptions, and click on Show Filters. Tick the subscriptions that you want, and select covered by current. Click on the Filter button above the list of members to update the list.
If you want to do more complex filtering (e.g. by information in subscription forms, or for subscriptions expiring in a particular period), then you need to start on the subscriptions page. See below for details.

Selecting a group of members based on their subscriptions
From the administration panel, click on the "subscriptions" link in the Membership Summary section top left, to go the subscriptions' list page.
Select the subscriptions that you are interested in from the list. You can use the Show current, or Show expired links, or specify date ranges.
Auto-renew option: An individual member's subscription will only show as Auto-renew: Yes if the subscription product has the auto-renew option ticked AND the individual member has purchased the subscription previously using an auto-renew payment method (currently only Direct Debit).
Renew option: An individual member's subscription will only show as Renew: Yes if the subscription product has the renewable option ticked AND the individual member's subscription has the renew option ticked.
Subscription Form Filter. You will only see the form filters displayed if the subscriptions that you have selected at the top, all use the same form. If you can't see the form filters and you were expecting to, double check that the subscriptions that you have selected all use the same form. You can do this by clicking on View All in the Subscription Products section in Admin Home.
You can then select individual subscriptions by ticking the boxes to the left (or leave them blank to select all). Click on the Choose Action: Show Members dropdown, and select For these subscriptions. The pop-up "Are you sure?" message will tell you how many subscriptions you have selected. Click ok to go to the members' list screen.
In the top right hand box you will see some Show Me options. This is only valid for organisations that have groups. See here for details on what the various options mean.
You can further filter by the membership form details etc.
